The short answer
The cost of an AR campaign depends mainly on whether the content (video, animation, 3D) already exists, how many materials and versions we bring to life, how long the campaign is to run and whether it includes print. The cheapest is a project with a ready video on a single material; the most expensive is a campaign with new video production, many language versions and a large print run.
What the cost consists of
| Component | What it depends on |
|---|---|
| Concept and script | Complexity of the idea, number of materials |
| Content (video, animation, 3D) | Whether it is ready or we produce it; length and quality |
| WebAR technology | Number of recognised materials, interactions, versions |
| Campaign duration | The period during which the experience is available |
| Print run, format, paper and finishes | |
| Measurement and report | Scope of data and reports for the client |
How to lower the cost of an AR campaign
- Use an existing video or materials from another campaign.
- Start with one material with the biggest reach (e.g. a package or a flyer in a parcel).
- Plan several content versions on the same print instead of separate print runs.
- Remember that content can be updated without reprinting — a saving on later changes.
You can compare the cost of reprinting with a digital-layer update in our print update calculator.
How to prepare a quote request
- Which material you want to bring to life and in what print run.
- Whether you have a ready video or other content.
- What the recipient should do after watching.
- How many versions (e.g. languages) you need.
- By when and for how long the campaign should run.
With this information we will prepare a quote with several options.
